Home / What Is Home Watch
Why hire an NHWA accredited member?
Home watch has a clear definition, and accredited members follow it. Here is what that means for your home.
A visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues.
What we do
- Walk through the accessible areas of your home, inside and out, on your schedule
- Look for obvious, visible signs of trouble like water, stains, mold, pests or forced entry
- Confirm the A/C, water and appliances appear to be running normally
- Send you a dated photo report and let you know right away if we see something
- Coordinate licensed contractors when you ask us to
What home watch is not
- Not a home inspection, and not a substitute for a licensed inspector or contractor
- We do not go on roofs or into attics or crawl spaces
- We do not open walls, move furniture or take systems apart
- Hidden or concealed conditions may not be visible during a visit
- Not a guarantee or warranty against damage, and not a replacement for insurance
